Children's Website Wins Award
The Lutheran Hour Ministries website for children has been awarded the
"2009 Best of Industry web award for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development" from the Web Marketing Association.
It's a fun, safe, and educational site.
About our Director,
Joni Harris:
Joni has been in the early childhood field since 1997. She taught preschool and pre-kindergarten and has been the director of Holy Cross ELC for the last 3 1/2 years. She became director qualified in 2002 and is currently working towards her bachelor's degree.

ABOUT OUR EARLY LEARNING CENTER:
GOAL: To provide and maintain quality Christ-centered early childhood education.
CURRICULUM:
A complete curriculum is planned each year to provide each child the opportunity to develop spiritually, socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically.
SPIRITUALLY: By applying God's Word to everyday activities through Bible stories, Scripture, songs and prayer.
SOCIALLY: By encouraging participation in group activities and making children feel welcome.
EMOTIONALLY: By helping each child develop confidence through positive reinforcement and activities geared for challenge and success.
INTELLECTUALLY: By introducing colors, shapes, numbers, letters, phonics, printing, etc. through varied developmentally appropriate activities.
PHYSICALLY: By providing activities that develop coordination and motor skills.

CHILD CARE
Child care is offered Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Pre-Schools and Pre-K programs are included.

Child care and classes are offered year round. We accept children that are 2 1/2 (and potty trained) to 6 years old.

Playground Resurfacing Project
Two fundraisers anyone can do to support this project for the children:
"Cartridges for Kids" - Recycling earns the school money. We collect laser and inkjet cartridges, laptops, PDAs, DVD,s, iPods, video consoles, video games, digital cameras, and cell phones.
"Good Search" - Goodserach.com is a search engine just like Google or Yahoo. When using this, select "Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Highlands Ranch CO" for the charity, If you make this your home page, you won't have to select your charity for every search,. Every time you use it, a donation is made to the preschool.
